Eyebrows were raised when Shafali Verma was not picked for the 5-match ODI series against South Africa earlier this year in Lucknow. India went on to lose the series 1-4. India will want to bounce back and prove a point against world champions England as they prepare for a big test in the lead up to next year's World Cup.
