We shouldn't limit our gratitude for the men and women serving in our military to just words, writes W. Kamau Bell. If we truly want to support our troops, we'll fight alongside them to create a fairer, more just military -- and we'll protect them when they can't protect themselves.
That's what I learned while visiting San Diego for the latest episode of "United Shades of America." The city is home to the largest concentration of military personnel in the country, and I spoke with veterans who have all seen up close what the military does well and what it doesn't.
