Former India batter VVS Laxman said that the Indian team management should not ignore Shreyas Iyer's fantastic performance in his debut Test against New Zealand and include him in India's squad for the Mumbai Test.
Former India batter VVS Laxman said that he hopes captain Virat Kohli and coach Rahul Dravid will not ignore Shreyas Iyer's debut heroics in Kanpur and include him in India's playing XI for the second Test against New Zealand, starting December 3 in Mumbai.
Notably, Iyer became only the seventh Indian player to win the Player of the Match award on his Test debut. Iyer scored 105 and 65 runs to become the first Indian to hit a hundred and a fifty on Test debut as India and New Zealand played out a thrilling draw in Kanpur.
