Kurdistan Workers’ Party leader Abdullah Ocalan’s latest message has divided public opinion, with some viewing it as a necessary step toward peace while others expressing skepticism about its implications. After 26 years in prison, Ocalan has called on the PKK to disarm, dissolve and pursue a political struggle — provided Turkey commits to resolving the Kurdish issue through peaceful and democratic means.
