Later, Mr. Atchannaidu and other TDP leaders and activists boarded a city bus and proceeded to Maddilapalem. The TDPState president interacted with the passengers to know about their difficulties due to the hike in fares and to impress upon them the need to protest against the hike.
Speaking to media persons at Maddilapalem, Mr. Atchannaidu said that YSR Congress Party government has hiked the fares twice as never before in the State. He alleged that after the present government took over, the prices of almost everything was increased.
He also alleged that the officials had destroyed the file, pertaining to evidences against YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders. He called upon the officials to uphold justice and warned that they would meet the fate of the Gajuwaka Tahsildar, if they go blindly by the orders of YSRCP leaders without thinking of the pros and cons.
