South African pace legend Allan Donald said that India captain Virat Kohli had told him back in 2015 that he wanted India to be the fittest team in the world and know that they can play away from home.

India have been widely rated as one of the best Test teams in the world under Virat Kohli's captaincy, notably recording back-to-back Test series wins in Australia and spending 42 months at the top of the Test rankings. India currently lead England 1-0 in the five-match Test series between the two teams, beating the hosts in the 2nd Test at Lord's by 151 runs. Former South Africa fast bowler Allan Donald said that Kohli had envisioned India's dominance back in 2015. "I remember Virat's words in 2015 when he said to me India will become world's No.1 Test team and he wasn't wrong," Donald said in a video on YouTube channel Cricket Life Stories.
