Virat Kohli is currently enjoying his heart out after not playing in the ongoing five-match T20I series against Temba Bavuma's South Africa.
Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli, on Sunday, June 12, posted a picture where he can be seen sitting on the beach and getting relaxed. The 33-year-old is currently enjoying his beach vacation far away from the world of cricket.
He shared a photo where he was bathing in the sunlight. He was sitting bare-chested, looking at the sea waves with every bit of concentration.
The Delhi-born cricketer isn’t a part of India’s five-match T20I series against Temba Bavuma’s South Africa. He, along with Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, isn’t a part of the white-ball games. India have also lost KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav to injuries. In the absence of Rohit and Rahul, Rishabh Pant was appointed as the skipper.
As far as Kohli is concerned, the break is a much-needed one for him as he was struggling to find any sort of rhythm with the bat. In the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the right-hander bagged as many as three golden ducks, which is pretty uncharacteristic of the great man.
He scored two half-centuries in the tournament, but he was far away from his very best. He also faced quite a bit of criticism after he failed to play at a decent strike rate in a few matches. Moreover, he hasn’t scored a century since India’s Day Night Test against Mominul Haque’s Bangladesh in November 2019 at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
