Virat Kohli sends wishes for birthday-boy Rohit Sharma on his 35th birthday – God Bless
India Today
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have garnered numerous laurels for the Indian cricket team ever since they forayed into the international arena.
Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli wished current national captain Rohit Sharma on the latter’s birthday. On Saturday, April 30, the Nagpur-born Rohit turned 35 years old and he was greeted with plenty of wishes from the cricket fraternity and his fans. Rohit has garnered massive fandom in his career and the same was evident from the amount of wishes he got on the auspicious occasion.
Kohli, who was India’s full-time captain from 2014 to 2022, took to his Instagram account to wish his teammate on his birthday. The 33-year-old posted a story on the social media platform where he can be seen embracing Rohit. Kohli captioned the photo and wrote, “Happy Birthday Rohit Sharma, God Bless.”
Earlier in the day, Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh also posted a heartfelt message for her better half. She posted a few pictures where Sharma can be seen involved in some adorable moments with his wife and their daughter Samaira. In his social media post, Ritika stated how Rohit has been a blessing in their lives over the years. She also sent love to her husband with all her heart.
Mumbai Indians (MI), for whom Rohit plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL), also posted a birthday wish for their skipper on their Instagram handle. Back in 2013, Rohit took over as the skipper of the franchise and has captained them to as many as five titles since then.
Rohit is currently leading MI in the 2022 edition of the IPL, but has found it tough to get going. Even as the Mumbai-based team is yet to register a win out of eight matches, Rohit’s own form with the bat hasn’t been great by any stretch of the imagination. On his birthday, he will be looking for change in fortunes when MI lock horns with Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR).
