Virat Kohli's men probably the best Indian Test team, it's playing the WTC final rightfully: Dinesh Karthik
India Today
India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik said the current Indian Test side is the best to have emerged from the country, adding that Virat Kohli's men are rightfully playing the final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship.
When Ravi Shastri called the current Indian Test team the 'best travelling side in the last 15 years' in the middle of a tour of England in 2018, eyebrows were raised. Former cricketers, including Sourav Ganguly and Sunil Gavaskar, had expressed their reservations. Cut to 2021, not many are going to disagree with Ravi Shastri now. Over the last 2 years, India have not only continued their dominance at home but have clinched some famous victories. The Test series win against Australia in 2018-19 helped India begin a new chapter in their overseas journey and it reached a new high when India, under Ajinkya Rahane, beat Australia 2-1 after breaching their Gabba fortress earlier this year. After having been consistent over the last 2 years, India have qualified for the final of the inaugural World Test Championship. Virat Kohli's side will take on New Zealand in the WTC final in Southampton from June 18.More Related News
