Virat Kohli made some stunning revelations in the post match press conference after India’s match against Pakistan. Kohli said that it was only MS Dhoni who messaged him after he gave up his captaincy.
Former India captain Virat Kohli posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story on Tuesday, 6 September. Kohli took to Instagram to give out some life lessons and wrote that individuals should be careful about the choice of people they surround themselves with.
“Notice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness. They're the ones who deserve special places in your heart,” Kohli wrote.
The right hander - Kohli - returned to form with a stunning knock vs Pakistan. After his 60 off 44 in a losing cause vs Pakistan, Kohli walked out in the post match press conference and made some shocking revelations. The batter said that it was only former India captain MS Dhoni, who messaged him after he left the mantle of captaincy of the Indian Test team.
"When I left Test captaincy, I got a message from only one person, with whom I played in the past. It was MS Dhoni," Kohli said.
"A lot of people have my number, a lot of people give me suggestions, a lot of people talk about my game on TV. But out of those people who had my number, I didn't get a message from anyone else barring Dhoni," Kohli said.
"You have respect, you have a genuine connection with a few people and it looks like that (Dhoni messaging him). It's two-way security, I don't want anything from them nor do they want anything from me," he added.
