Virat Kohli needs the big runs after controversial press conference ahead of South Africa tour
India Today
While making sensational claims in a press conference on Thursday, India's Test captain Virat Kohli said India will be keen on winning the upcoming Test series in South Africa and for that to happen, the visitors will need their run-machine back in peak form.
Virat Kohli was on the front foot, in his usual dominant self, when he made some stunning claims during a routine pre-tour press conference in Mumbai on Thursday. India were departing for South Africa for a much-anticipated 3-Test series but the media address by the Test captain had more off-field issues that dominated the headlines in the recent past and very little cricket.
Virat Kohli looked calm and composed as he faced the media but did not hold anything back as he answered queries from the scribes with a straight bat. In fact, the skipper even prompted the media manager that there were more questions and showed keen interest to address most of the burning issues.
