However, ex-captain Kohli came in and convinced Rohit to take the review. Kohli's judgment turned out to be right as Shamarh Brookes had edged the ball. Brooks was dismissed for 12 off 26 as India got their 6th wicket.

Meanwhile, Chahal became the 2nd fastest Indian spinner after his spin partner Kuldeep Yadav picked up 100 wickets in ODI cricket. Chahal achieved the fear in his 60th match for India when he removed big-hitting Nicholas Pooran in the very first over of his spell under Rohit Sharma's captaincy in the first ODI.
Chahal also became the 5th fastest Indian bowler to pick up 100 wickets in ODI cricket. Chahal was on 99 when he arrived in Ahmedabad for the ODI series and he did not take a lot of time to achieve the milestone.
