"Lieutenant Dan," or Joseph Malinowski, is a Florida man who went viral on social media for refusing to shelter inside during Hurricane Milton despite law enforcement's pleas.
Despite pleas from local residents, law enforcement officials and the mayor of Tampa, Jane Castor, to leave and seek shelter, Malinowski chose to stay put with his boat tied to Bayshore Boulevard near Tampa General Hospital.
