Kotak General Insurance paid tribute to Yogita Satav by converting her courageous story into an inspiring short ad film.
In January this year, the heroic story of a 42-year-old woman named Yogita Satav, who saved the life of a bus driver made headlines. Yogita, who is from Pune, took matters in her own hands when she saved the life of the driver who had fallen unconscious by driving the bus herself. The homemaker drove a bus for the first time in her life. She drove 10 kilometers to the Surya Hospital so that the driver’s life could be saved. And now, her extraordinary story has been turned into a short advertisement film by Kotak General Insurance and, needless to say, it has gone viral online.
The incident happened on January 7 this year when Yogita and 28 other passengers, including 20 women and 8 children went for a picnic near Pune. On the way, the driver complained of uneasiness and suddenly fainted. Looking at this, the women frantically tried to revive him. Some even started calling for help. Yogita also sprinkled water on the driver’s face but he didn’t respond. Realising that there was no time to spare, Yogita quickly took the wheel and started driving the mini-bus slowly. She felt scared initially but gained her confidence as she moved forward along the road.
