In an exclusive interaction with IndiaToday.in, Vikrant spoke to us about his upcoming project, Gaslight with Sara Ali Khan and Chitrangda Singh, working with Bobby Deol in Love Hostel and the dream life he is living.
Excerpts from the interview:
Vikrant Massey was last seen in Zee5’s Love Hostel, co-starring Sanya Malhotra and Bobby Deol. The actor spoke about the success of his last few projects and how it feels to remain this busy. Speaking to IndiaToday.in, Vikrant shared, “I am living a dream. I always wanted a life like this. There are some incredible scripts coming my way. I always wanted to collaborate with great storytellers and here I am, living my dream. Couldn’t have asked for more. Personally and professionally, the year’s been great so far and the year has just started.”
Vikrant confirmed shooting for Gaslight with Sara Ali Khan and Chitrangda Singh. Talking about the project, he shared, “We’ve just started shooting. It’s been wonderful so far. We are in Gujarat. It’s another film where I am tapped into something new. It’s a very interesting part. I am collaborating with Sara [Ali Khan] and Chitrangda [Singh]. I am really excited. These guys are such wonderful people. Sara especially, she is full of energy, wonderful. Her outlook towards her work, the way she sees the world, is so refreshing.”
Vikrant also shared, “Collaborating with Pawan [director Pawan Kripalani] was a long-standing thing. We were to collaborate on Bhoot Police but things kept being pushed. Finally, we managed to do it and we are very happy.”
Do you know Vikrant had a fanboy moment when he met Bobby Deol for Love Hostel? The actor told us, “It was fantastic, it was a fanboy moment. Pehle baar jab pata chala sir kar rahe hai film, we were really excited because Class of 83 tabhi aayi thi and it did really well. For me, working with someone you’ve seen as a child, whose films you've watched, getting an opportunity to collaborate with him, is great. He is such a kind-hearted man. When Sanya [Malhotra] and I met him for the first time, we said, “Sir, hamein vishwaas nahi ho raha hain ki hum aapke saamne khade hain kyuki bachchan mein hamare gharwalon ne hamein aapke filmon ke gaano pe bohot nachaya hain (We can't believe we are standing in front of you because during our childhood, our family made us dance to your songs)!” Though I wish I had more screen time with him, I hope somewhere down the line I get a chance to work with him again.”
