Vikram box office collection Day 22: Kamal Haasan-starrer is shattering records

The worldwide collection of Kamal Haasan's Vikram is inching closer to the Rs 400-crore mark. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial is the highest grossing Tamil film in Tamil Nadu.
Kamal Haasan's film, Vikram, is now the highest-earning Tamil film in Tamil Nadu. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action thriller outdid the lifetime collection of Viswasam in the state and is still continuing its dream run at the box office. The highest grosser in Tamil Nadu is Baahubali - The Conclusion, and Vikram will most likely surpass it by this weekend. It is expected to soon cross Rs 400 crore worldwide.
Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Vikram released in cinemas on June 3 in multiple languages. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles.
According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Vikram is the highest grossing Tamil film in Tamil Nadu. The film recently surpassed Ajith Kumar's Viswasam box office collection in the state. The film has been shattering many records ever since it hit the theatres.
Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram is a powerful action thriller. Apart from the lead cast, Suriya plays a cameo as Rolex in the film. Gayathrie, Vasanthi, Kalidas Jayaram, Narain and Santhana Bharathi are seen in supporting roles. Music director Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and editor Philomin Raj are part of the technical crew.
