Vijay Deverakonda can be seen stammering in the Liger trailer. The actor revealed that he initially found it difficult to stammer but later loved it.
The trailer for Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday’s upcoming film, Liger, was launched on July 21. In the movie, Vijay plays the role of an MMA fighter whose stage name is Liger. He has a speech impediment, and has difficulty uttering even an 'I love you' to his onscreen ladylove Ananya Panday. During a press conference in Mumbai, Vijay Deverakonda revealed that initially it was difficult for him to stammer, but gradually started enjoying the process.
Speaking about the stammer, Vijay Deverakonda said, "I have a stammer in the film, that's what added a whole different layer of humour. Visually, he is so strong, he can fight 100 people but can't even get an 'I love you' out of his mouth. It was a very interesting layer (to the character).
He further added, "It (stammering) was very hard, the first 2-3 days but once we got it, I just had fun with it and I loved it."
Vijay Deverakonda was seen doing high-octance stunts in the Liger trailer. When asked if he would like to do as many films as possible, Vijay said, "Main multitasking nahi kar sakta hoon. I get confused. It's easy for me if I do one film at a time. That is my capacity and capability."
Speaking about the most fearless thing he has done, Vijay was quick to reply, "My career." His answer was received with wolf whistles.
On July 21, the trailer of Liger was unveiled by Vijay Deverakonda and the entire team in Hyderabad. Vijay Deverakonda delivered some knock-out punches in the trailer, which made everyone excited. In the 2-minute-2-second trailer, we could see the South star as an MMA fighter doing high-octane action sequences. His chemistry with Ananya Panday, however, steals the limelight.
Mike Tyson makes a cameo appearance in Liger. The film will release in theatres on August 25 in multiple languages.
