Vijay Deverakonda met Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan on the sets of GodFather. He sought their blessings for his upcoming movie Liger, which is slated to release in theatres on August 25.
Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of Liger, which has created a fair deal of buzz among fans with his action-packed trailer. The Telugu-Hindi bilingual is slated to open in cinemas on August 25. With less than a month to go for its release, Vijay posted a priceless photo with Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan on Instagram. Liger is a sports drama written and directed by Puri Jagannadh.
Vijay Deverakonda, who was last seen in the commercially unsuccessful romantic drama World Famous Lover, is set to make his Bollywood debut with Liger. He took to Instagram to share a photo of him with Chiranjeevi, Bollywood star Salman Khan, Puri, and actress-turned-producer Charmme Kaur from the sets of the Tollywood Megastar's upcoming movie GodFather. Vijay wrote on Instagram that he is grateful to Chiru and Salman for their support. He wrote, “Your blessings and love for #Liger means the world to usMegastar @chiranjeevikonidela sir & @beingsalmankhan sir - Your blessings and love for #Liger means the world to us! My respect and love always (sic)."
Liger is a sports drama that features Vijay Deverakonda in the role of a gutsy MMA fighter with a speech issue. Going by the trailer, his character rises up the ranks in the world of combat sports while dealing with personal and professional challenges. Ananya Panday, last seen in Gehraiyaan, makes her Tollywood debut with Liger. The flick also features Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, and Makrand Deshpande in key roles. Renowned boxer Mike Tyson will be seen in a cameo appearance in Liger.
Post Liger, Vijay Deverakonda will be seen alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the romantic comedy Khushi. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on December 23. This will be their second film after Mahanati (2018). He also has Puri Jagannadh's Jana Gana Mana (JGM) in his kitty. The movie stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead and marks her first collaboration with Tollywood’s favourite Rowdy. It is scheduled to open in theatres on August 3, 2023.
