Vijay Deverakonda is proud of Jana Gana Mana, calls wearing soldier’s uniform 'an honour'

Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh will come together again for a war movie, JGM. The actor said that he feels honoured to be a part of the film.
Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh announced their next film, JGM (Jana Gana Mana), at an event in Mumbai today, March 29. The film is touted to be an action drama and is scheduled to hit the screens on August 3, 2023.
JGM is the second pan-Indian collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh after Liger. Talking about JGM, Vijay said, "I am grateful for all the love. I feel happy to be here. I feel happy to be telling stories in Hindi and all the major languages. It is an honour when I see this camouflage and wear these boots. I feel proud to do this film. It will be fun to do this movie."
On working with Puri, the Dear Comrade actor said, "Puri sir is the original gangster. Whatever you saw in Wanted and Simmba, he is the original man behind it. Now, he is getting in (here) and the film will be hard hitting.”

Speaking about the film at the press conference, Puri Jagannadh said, "It is my dream project. I have been waiting for a chance to make it for many years, and finally it is happening because of Vijay. It is a fictional story, it is a patriotic and war kind of movie. It is a soldier's dream. It is an inspiring movie.” Further talking about the title of the film, he stated, "In this film, the hero starts a mission and hence it is called JGM."
