A Vietnamese Buddhist monk, who once studied in India, has donated two inverters for two government-run health centres in Jewar in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar district. These inverters have been installed for the oxygen concentrators, which run on power supply. On Friday, Bhikkhuni Nguyen Thi Sau (Tam Naghiem), who had studied in Delhi University in 2013, donated the power backups to Greater Noida's Rabupura and Jehangirpur primary health centres with an effort to ramp up the medical infrastructure in the region and tackle the spread of Covid-19. Local BJP legislator Dhirendra Singh told India Today that the Vietnamese woman approached him through one of her former teacher, Dr Arvind Singh, who happens to be a resident of Greater Noida. The MLA said that she wanted to help India as she had been here for quite some time.More Related News
