"Now the world's understanding of terrorism is better as compared to earlier times," says India's Foreign minister S Jaishankar in speech in Gujarat
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar today called "a neighbouring country" — apparently referring to Pakistan — "an expert in international terrorism". He contrasted it with India being "an expert in information technology". #WATCH | We've a neighbour, like we're expert in IT (information technology) they're expert in 'international terrorists'. It's going on for years...but we could explain to world that terrorism is terrorism, today it's being done against us, tomorrow it will be against you...:EAM pic.twitter.com/zxuibuadjG
"Now the world's understanding of terrorism is better as compared to earlier times," he said, in his speech in Hindi at a function in Gujarat's Vadodara. "The world isn't tolerating it anymore. Countries using terrorism are under pressure."
He added, "It (terrorism against India) has been going on for years, but we have lately been more successful explaining to the world that it has a global impact — that if today it is us, tomorrow it will be you."
