"Things are not going to go in your favour all the time," Sham Kaushal said to young Vicky
Vicky Kaushal has strong family values. His father action director Sham Kaushal always tried to infuse values in Vicky and his younger brother Sunny Kaushal since their childhood days. In a new interview with We Are Yuvaa, Vicky revealed that his father "cried in front of them" after he was "humiliated on the sets". Vicky said that his father tried to make him "emotionally strong" from the very beginning. Vicky told We Are Yuvaa, "He's also been the atypical figure in the family who always tried to make us strong, emotionally. He would openly tell us, 'I felt humiliated on set today and I came back and I cried to your mom.' He would say that to us when we were children. And mom would tell us this, that some senior had scolded him in front of the whole set when he was just a stuntman. And he came back home and cried. So, this was never hidden from us. And he has cried in front of us."
Vicky added that his father always wanted them to be grown up as strong individuals. Sham Kaushal's fatherly advice to the sons was, "Things are not going to go in your favour all the time. Most times they are going to be against you; that's how life is."
During the interview, Vicky also disclosed that his father is now very cool, chilled out but in childhood days he was "scared" of his father. "Mom was a good cop, papa was a bad cop. We would open up in front of mom but it's never easy to open up in front of dad back then."
