VHP members meet MPs, raise issues of conversion, safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, Pakistan

Members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad met MPs from different parties to discuss "Hindutva and nationalism". Some issues raised during the discussions include religious conversion and safety of Hindus in neighbouring countries.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad, a Hindu organisation, conducts an annual campaign to meet all Members of Parliament to discuss issues related to “Hindutva and nationalism”. Members of the VHP have, so far, met 327 MPs from parties including the BJP, All India Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena and Aam Aadmi Party this year. The VHP is running its campaign in two stages. In the first phase, the organisation has met MPs from north, central, west and north-east India apart from West Bengal. In the second phase during the Budget session, the VHP plans to meet MPs from Odisha and south India.
