A VHP activist has now demanded that actor Chetan be deported to the US over his controversial social media statements and a video against Brahminism. Activist Girish Bharadwaj has filed a grievance with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Bengaluru stating that Chetan, being an American citizen, needs to be deported. In his complaint to the FRRO, the activist Girish Bharadwaj stated, “Recently, the actor tweeted ‘Brahminism is the negation of the spirited of Liberty, equality and Fraternity. We should uproot Brahminism #Ambedkar’ and ‘While all are born as equals, to say that Brahmins alone are highest and all others are low as untouchables is sheer nonsense. It’s a huge hoax #Periyar.’ Besides in one of the videos Chetan had also said that the concepts of Basava and Buddha were killed by Brahminism.” The activists further stated in his grievance letter, “Chetan is a citizen of the United States and is residing in Bengaluru temporarily. He is raking communal caste sentiments and caste conflagration resulting in social disharmony in a country with a pluralistic ethos like India.”More Related News
