A Vermont cop scheduled to begin training in August to be a full-time officer was killed in a high-speed chase involving a burglary suspect. Jessica Ebbighausen was just 19 years old.
Friday afternoon’s crash happened as police chased a vehicle driven by Tate Rheaume, a 20-year-old suspect in an attempted break-in at a house. Bradford Betz is a Fox News Digital breaking reporter covering crime, political issues, and much more.
Evidence indicates that Rheaume crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Ebbighausen's cruiser, police said. The suspect's truck also hit another police cruiser.
