Venkatesh's Narappa release date postponed due to Covid-19 spike

On Thursday (April 29), Venkatesh Daggubati took to social media to announce that his next Narappa’s release has been postponed. Directed by Srikanth Addala, it is the Telugu remake of Asuran.
With the nation fighting the Covid-19 crisis, several Tollywood films like Virata Parvam, Ishq-Not A Love Story, Love Story, Acharya, Tuck Jagadish, etc., have postponed their release dates. The latest to join the list is Venkatesh-starrer Narappa. Scheduled to release on May 14 in theatres, the film is postponed for now till the Covid-19 crisis is averted. The film stars Priyamani, Karthik Rathnam, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma and Sampath Raj in pivotal roles. In lieu of the pandemic, #Narappa will not be releasing on May 14th . The statement read, “Narappa is a film that we have made with a lot of dedication and hard work and your love towards the film has been overwhelming. However, we are all going through a turbulent time during this unprecedented global pandemic and hence, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience, the theatrical release of the film has been postponed. We will bring Narappa to you just when the time is right. Until then, be safe, take care of yourself and stay strong. We will all get through this together (sic).”More Related News
