While a total 48,947 have been discharged, the active cases stood at 156. The death toll is 1,141.
In Ranipet, four cases were reported, and the total stood at 43,579. In Tirupattur, a single case was reported on Saturday and the total cases stood at 29,396.

For this, AIISH has collaborated with several hospitals to conduct screening which is performed to detect hearing impairment and other developmental disabilities that can affect speech and language development. The screening has been helping in early intervention for those identified with the disorders, as any delay in the identification poses risk and affects successful management of children with hearing loss, according to AIISH.
