Varun Dhawan's traffic challan, which was issued by the Kanpur traffic police, has been revoked. The actor is currently in Kanpur, shooting for his upcoming film, Bawaal. The actor was issued a challan for riding a bike without a helmet in the city, photos and videos of which had gone viral on social media.
The Kanpur traffic police was trolled on social media for issuing a challan to Varun Dhawan, as it was a scene from his shoot. They have finally revoked Varun Dhawan's challan today, April 20, as confirmed by Sankalp Sharma, Traffic DCP of Kanour. He said that the bike which was challaned was related to a film's shoot and permissions were taken for the it.
On April 16, Varun Dhawan was shooting for his film Bawaal, when he was issued a challan for riding a bike without a helmet. The number plate on the bike was registered with Pramod Kumar, a resident of Unnao. Permissions were taken for the film's shoot. So, the Kanpur traffic police were criticised for issuing a challan to Varun Dhawan.
Police commissioner Vijay Singh had ordered an investigation. After investigation, the challan was revoked by the the Traffic DCP today, April 20 since the Bawaal team had permissions in place.
Fans were elated to see Varun Dhawan shoot in Kanpur. The actor is in the city to shoot for his upcoming film, Bawaal. Varun also gave autographs to his fans in Kanpur. However, a challan was issued to the actor after he rode a bike without wearing a helmet. DCP Traffic Kanpur exclusively told IndiaToday.in that a challan has been issued to Varun who was riding a bike without wearing a helmet. Another update also says that the number plate violated the guidelines of traffic police. Yet another challan will be issued if the rules are further violated.
