Varanasi court to hear Gyanvapi Masjid pleas tomorrow

The Varanasi District Court has posted the hearing of the Gyanvapi Masjid case for hearing at 2 pm on Tuesday. The judge is expected to pass an order during the next hearing on how the matter will progress before the district court.
The Varanasi District Court hearing the Gyanvapi Masjid case has posted the matter for hearing at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 24.
The court is hearing three petitions in the matter at present. Of the three petitions, two have been filed by the Hindu side and one by the mosque committee.
The hearing before the Varanasi court on Monday was to determine how the case will proceed.

The Muslim party said that the application on maintainability under order 7, rule 11 ought to be taken up first in accordance with the Supreme Court's orders. The Hindu side, on the other hand, requested for the report filed by the survey commission to be taken up for consideration on priority.
The judge, after hearing both sides, reserved the order on the limited issue of how the hearing in the case will proceed.
