Vance, 28 other lawmakers say Biden Ukraine funding ask 'makes a mockery' of Congress
Fox News
Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio led 28 other lawmakers in a letter rejecting the White House's request for an additional $24 billion in funding for Ukraine.
"The vast majority of Congress remains unaware of how much the United States has spent to date in total on this conflict, information which is necessary for Congress to prudently exercise its appropriations power," the letter states. "It is difficult to envision a benign explanation for this lack of clarity." Chris Pandolfo is a writer for Fox News Digital. The letter was spearheaded by Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas. It was addressed to Shalanda Young, the director of the White House Office of Management and Budget.
