Valimai box office collection Day 19: Ajith's film dominates international market

Ajith Kumar's Valimai, directed by H Vinoth, is performing exceptionally well at the box office in India and in the international market. The action film is produced by Boney Kapoor.

Ajith Kumar's Valimai is continuing its glorious run in theatres for the third week. Apart from dominating the Indian market, the film is also performing exceptionally well in the international market. The action film is now marching towards Rs 250 crore-mark at the box office. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film continues to draw crowds to the theatres.

Producer Boney Kapoor announced February 24 as Valimai Day. Ajith's ardent fans celebrated the day with much fanfare. From bursting crackers to pouring milk on Ajith's cut-outs, they did it all.

According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Valimai managed to collect Rs 50 crore in the international market. He wrote, "At the Overseas Box Office, #Valimai has grossed approximately $6.5 Million [Rs 50 Crs]. Majority of the revenue coming from Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE/GCC/Saudi, UK/EU and USA. It had the widest release for a Tamil movie from Mexico to Malta (sic)."

Valimai raked in Rs 1.16 crore in Australia in its third week, while it earned Rs 1.39 crore at the UK box office.
