Uttar Pradesh: Truck catches fire on highway in Pilibhit; fire brigade fails to reach on time

A truck travelling from Uttrakhand to Gola town of Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh, caught fire on Pilibhit National Highway 730. The police patrolling the spot helped the driver and helper to extinguish the fire.
A moving truck caught fire on Pilibhit National Highway 730 while travelling to Gola town of Lakhimpur. The truck was going from Uttrakhand to Lakhimpur when the engine caught fire.
While the fire brigade failed to arrive on time, some of the voting agents going to count the votes for the assembly elections 2022 in Pilibhit helped in extinguishing the fire.
The driver and a helper in the truck jumped off the truck to save their lives. One of the eyewitnesses revealed that while going to Lakhimpur, the truck suddenly caught fire. The fire was so strong that they could not do anything.
The police patrolling the spot helped the driver and helper to extinguish the fire.
A voting agent named Gaurav Pandey told India Today, "We were going to the counting place, when we saw a burning truck on the highway, all of us together put out the fire of the truck. The police were also on the spot."
