Under a new programme, the schoolgirls in Uttar Pradesh are set to receive self-defence training from March 1 to 31 in school premises.
Vijay Kiran Anand, Director-General of School Education, Uttar Pradesh said that under the newly launched programme Mission Shakti, female students in the state will receive self-defence training in their schools from March 1 to 31. The self-defence training under Mission Shakti will be provided to female students of more than 40,000 upper primary schools, as per ANI reports. The self-defence training under Mission Shakti is being provided to schoolgirls for their safety and well-being. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the launch of Mission Shakti in October 2020 in order to protect the women in the state.More Related News
