Utah Rep Blake Moore wins House GOP leadership role vacated by Speaker Johnson

Two-term Utah GOP Rep. Blake Moore won a crowded race Wednesday morning to replace Speaker Johnson as Republican Conference vice chair.

Ambitious Republicans quickly jumped into the race soon after Johnson was chosen to be speaker late last month, ending three weeks of chaos without an elected House leader.  Elizabeth Elkind is a reporter for Fox News Digital focused on Congress as well as the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and politics.
