US climate envoy John Kerry has arrived in Tokyo for talks with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga and other officials on cooperation on carbon emissions and cutting support for fossil fuels, especially coal. Kerry arrived in Japan on Monday and will fly out to China for more climate talks on Tuesday evening – his second trip to the country under US President Joe Biden’s administration. Talks in the two Asian economic powerhouses will be “to engage with international counterparts on efforts to address the climate crisis,” the US Department of State said in a statement.More Related News
