Yes, you read that right. Arieh Smith, who has a YouTube channel that goes by the name Xiaomanyc, posted the video on March 9 and it has already been viewed close to 11 lakh times.
In the over 7-minute long video, Arieh can be seen entering an Indian restaurant. He asked the owner if they had any “bajra no rotlo” (Bajra roti) in fluent Gujarati. The owner was pleasantly surprised and even asked him where he learnt to speak the language so well. Arieh said that he had some Gujarati friends who helped him out.
Arieh then enjoyed a huge Gujarati thaali and dessert and absolutely loved it. When the owner asked him how he liked the food, he said, “Saras (delicious).”
Arieh tried some paan after his meal and talked to the seller in Gujarati. The man behind the counter was thoroughly impressed with Arieh's fluent Gujarati and gave him the paan for free. Arieh then proceeded to try chaas (buttermilk) as well.
