US Man Executed For Killing College Student, Raping His Sister In 1995

Loran Cole, 57, was put to death by lethal injection at 6:15 pm at the Florida State Prison in Raiford, the Florida Department of Corrections said in a statement.

A man convicted of murdering a college student and raping his sister while the siblings were on a camping trip was executed in the southern US state of Florida on Thursday, prison officials said.

Loran Cole, 57, was put to death by lethal injection at 6:15 pm (2215 GMT) at the Florida State Prison in Raiford, the Florida Department of Corrections said in a statement.

Cole was sentenced to death in December 1995 for the February 1994 murder of an 18-year-old Florida State University student, who was on a camping trip with his sister in the Ocala National Forest.
