US has ‘long way to go’ in getting young Americans vaccinated: CDC director

The US still has a “long way to go to get young Americans vaccinated” against COVID-19, despite the ramped-up pace of immunizations, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention chief warned Friday.
Only about one-fifth of 18- to 29-year-olds and less than one-third of 30- to 39-year-olds in the US are fully vaccinated, CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said during a virtual White House coronavirus briefing. “By contrast, more than two-thirds of people over the age of 65 are already fully vaccinated,” Walensky noted, urging young Americans to go out and get jabbed.More Related News
