India Today
Stench emanating from unclaimed bodies of suspected Covid victims buried in the sand along the banks of river Ganga is haunting villagers, said a man who lives near the Nanamau ghat in UP's Kanpur.
Days after the dead bodies of suspected Covid-19 victims were spotted floating on the river Ganga, multiple bodies have now been seen buried in the sand at two locations along the riverbank near Kanpur city and Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government has directed the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) and water battalions of the Pradeshik Armed Constabulary (PAC) to ensure that no bodies are buried in the sand along the banks of river Ganga.More Related News
