UP primary children without uniforms, sweaters even as Yogi govt offers Rs 1100 to parents' bank accounts

Even as the Yogi government announced the decision to send Rs 1100 to the bank account of each parent with kids in primary schools, students were seen without sweaters and uniforms. India Today tried to find out why.
Primary classes in Uttar Pradesh have begun in full swing but in this academic session, most of the students were found to not be wearing uniforms and sweaters in winter. Most of the children are waiting for sweaters and shoes in the basic school even after Rs 1100 had been issued in the bank accounts of the parents.
The Yogi government had earlier announced the decision to send Rs 1100 to the bank accounts of all parents and guardians of primary school students.
