UP faces a steep challenge in meeting Covid vaccination target

After becoming the first state to administer over 17 crore vaccine doses, Uttar Pradesh faces a major challenge in meeting the Covid vaccination target.

On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh became the first state to administer 17 crore-plus Covid vaccine doses. Of them, 11.76 crore people have got the first dose, while 5.74 crore have been fully vaccinated.

But the state is facing a steep challenge in achieving its target of vaccinating the entire eligible population of 14.75 crore with at least the first dose by December 31.
