Given the upcoming UP assembly election, the Agra division is gaining prominence on every political party's agenda. Veteran leaders of BJP, SP and BSP of Agra and Mathura have been tasked to keep a close watch on the political activity of each party.A few months ago, BJP national president JP Nadda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh and senior RSS workers also addressed a conference while holding a secret meeting in Agra.Similarly, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav tried to show sympathy by visiting the homes of the families of party workers lost to the Covid epidemic in Agra last week to pay tribute and express grief. BSP supremo Mayawati made her party secretary Satish Chandra Mishra visit the division and seek inputs about the political situation here. However, in this regard, when we contacted the common people and intellectuals of Agra, Mathura, and Firozabad districts, they called it only a political ploy.Meanwhile, the secret meeting between Asaduddin Owaisi, Shivpal Singh Yadav, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Sukhdev Rajbhar at Shivpal's house in Lucknow on September 29 has BJP and SP worried, which has brought about political upheaval in Agra.According to local senior leaders of SP and BSP, if this alliance happens, the anti-BJP vote in the state will disintegrate and SP and BSP will suffer, while BJP will reap benefits. Although Shivpal was looking desperate to ally with SP, the secret meeting of these four has changed the situation.According to information from Firozabad district of Agra division, Shivpal can also take out a march on October 2 and Samajik Parivartan Yatra on October 12.BJP MLA from Agra Yogendra Upadhyay said BJP would get the direct benefit of these four opposition leaders coming together, and the party will now bring 400+ seats in the state assembly election. He said now everyone has come to know that all these opposition parties are greedy for power whereas BJP serves the people and is ready to develop the state.
