
UP-bound SpiceJet flight returns to Mumbai after cracks on windshield

A SpiceJet flight bound to UP's Gorakhpur returned to Mumbai after it developed cracks on the windshield.
A SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur was turned back on Saturday, May 28, after cracks were noted on the windshield. The flight SG-385 was cruising when the crack was observed on the outer pane of the windshield.
The pilot in command decided to return to Mumbai airport. The air traffic control was informed and the plane landed safely.
The airline's spokesperson in a statement said, "SpiceJet Boeing 737 aircraft was scheduled to operate SG-385 (Mumbai-Gorakhpur). During the cruise, the windshield's outer pane was observed to be cracked. PIC decided to return back to Mumbai. ATC was apprised and the aircraft landed safely at Mumbai (sic)".
