Supreme Court has allowed Vedanta to operate oxygen production unit at its Sterlite copper plant in Tuticorin on a stand-alone basis.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed Vedanta's Sterlite Industries in Tuticorin to produce oxygen amid surging Covid cases. The SC order has paved the way for the partial reopening of the copper smelter closed in 2018 over pollution concerns.
