The pilot of a United Airlines commercial jet called "mayday, mayday" as the aircraft experienced engine failure shortly after takeoff from Denver International Airport on Saturday, according to new audio.
"328, uh, heavy. We've experienced engine failure, need to turn. Mayday, mayday. United, uh, 28, United 328, heavy. Mayday, mayday, aircraft, uh..." the pilot says in a 35-second audio recording obtained by the Denver Post. Commercial pilot Rob Mark reacts to the airliner incident on 'FOX Report Weekend' The Denver Tower replies: "Yes, 328 heavy, say again, read all that again."
