
United Nations Human Rights Council to hold special session on Afghanistan

The special session comes in the wake of one of the worst refugee crisis staring the world after the Taliban took control of the capital city of Kabul on August 15.
The United Nations Human Rights Council will hold a "special session" to address the "serious human rights concerns and situation in Afghanistan" on Tuesday. The special session is being convened following an official request submitted on August 17 jointly by Pakistan, Coordinator of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and Afghanistan. The move has been supported by 89 states so far.More Related News
