Taras Topolya, the lead singer of the rock band Antytila, thanked British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran for organising a charity concert for Ukraine in Birmingham.
Ukraine has entered the second month of conflict with Russia and the situation is still tense between both countries. Due to military operations, people have lost their jobs, their homes and many have fled from the country to seek refuge in the neighbouring countries.
However, many citizens of Ukraine have enrolled themselves in the army to face the Russians, which includes the rock band Antytila. The lead singer of the band, Taras Topolya, shared a message while being dressed in military uniform and the clip has gone viral on TikTok. The video has also been shared on the band's official Facebook profile.
Taras thanked British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran for organising a charity concert for Ukraine in Birmingham. In the recorded message, he spoke about the hardships they were enduring due to the war while standing in front of a tattered building. The other members of the band were also spotted in the video.
“We thank you, and all the British people for their support. Believe me, we are grateful, and we will always, always remember this. Today we learned about your charity concert for Ukraine, which will take place in Birmingham,” read a part of the caption.
