A couple from the UK has named their newborn daughter after the popular Indian snack Pakora. The Captain's Table, a restaurant in Ireland, shared the news on Facebook.
You might have heard about people naming their children after something that really means a lot to them. The name can be after a family member, a place or even a famous person. But, have you ever heard someone naming their child after their favourite food? And, that too, a fritter? Confused? Well, don't be, as a couple from the UK has named their child after the popular desi snack Pakora. Read that again.
The Captain's Table, a restaurant in Newtownabbey, Ireland, took to Facebook to share the news. The eatery shared the receipt of an order placed by the UK couple and also a picture of the baby girl born on August 24. Actually, the baby girl's mother loved to eat pakoras served at The Captain's Table and named her child after it.
"Now that IS a first! Welcome to the world Pakora. We can't wait to meet you," reads the caption of the post.

The post obviously went crazy viral online with a ton of reactions from netizens. The internet naturally couldn't keep calm and the comments section was proof of that.
"My favourite things to eat during my two pregnancies were banana popsicles and watermelon. Thank God I used the sense I was born with and didn't name my kids after them," a user wrote.
