As the row over Hamunam Chalisa intensifies, MLA Ravi Rana has said his house in Amravati had been attacked when his children were inside.
After the Shiv Sena staged a massive protest outside the Mumbai house of MP Navneet Rana, her husband Ravi Rana has now claimed their house in Amravati was also attacked when their children were inside. He said Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray would be held responsible if anything happened.
This comes after the massive protest by Sena workers over the plans of the MP-MLA couple to chant the Hanuman Chalisa outside Matoshree -- the residence of Uddhav Thackeray.
In the morning, Shiv Sena workers protested outside the residence of Amravati MP Navneet Rana in Mumbai and broke barricades. The Sena workers also threatened the Ranas with dire consequences if they chanted Hanuman Chalisa outside 'Matoshree', the private residence of Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray.
MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana said they would go to Matoshree at 9 am on Saturday. Navneet Rana said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is at his post because of Hindutva but he has left his ideology now.
The Ranas arrived in Mumbai on Friday morning. Since then, Shiv Sena workers have gathered at various locations in Mumbai, including Matoshree, daring the Rana couple to venture near Matoshree.
According to the police, the couple was staying at their Khar residence. DCP of Zone 9 Manjunath Shenge served the notice to the couple to prevent a law-and-order issue. Police said that the couple will be held responsible if the law-and-order situation is disturbed.
