A delegation of BJP leaders, including former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, met Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari on Wednesday and raised issues pertaining to the Covid-19 situation in the state, police officer Sachin Vaze's arrest in the Mukesh Ambani bomb scare case, corruption allegations against Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and intelligence department's report about alleged bribery in police transfers. The delegation, also comprising BJP state unit chief Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar and Ashish Shelar, handed over a memorandum to the Governor, requesting him to ask for a report from Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on various issues related to governance and Covid-19 situation in the state. On the backdrop of former Mumbai police chief Param Bir Singh's corruption allegations against Anil Deshmukh, Fadnavis said the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government had lost moral ground and questioned the silence of CM Thackeray over the issue.More Related News
